Tourist taxes for the Booking Engine and for Booking.com.
There are two different ways to configure tourist taxes which is through Bookings.com and on the Booking Engine tab through RoomRaccoon. Seeing as these taxes are communicated from different platforms we’ve created this article to assist you in manoeuvring tourist taxes.
You can choose to send the tourist tax from RoomRaccoon to Booking.com. You can set this in the room settings or under the orange cog under the heading Currency and taxes. It is important to disable the tourist tax in the Booking.com extranet.
When you want to control the tourist tax from Booking.com it is important that the settings
RoomRaccoon is deactivated on account settings, accessed through the cogwheel. If you do not do this, there is a chance that the tourist tax will be charged twice.
