What happens if the value of the guest’s voucher is more than the total payment required?

If the value of the voucher is greater than the total payment, it will only use the amount necessary to cover the total cost of the booking pre-payment.

What happens if the value of the guest’s voucher is less than the total payment required?

If the value of the voucher is less than the pre-payment amount owed by the guest, guests will not be able to make partial payment using the voucher. Instead, guests will be prompted to select another payment method or contact the hotel directly for booking. Guests cannot use vouchers to cover a partial transaction of the pre-payment amount required in the booking engine.

Is the voucher payment method always visible on my RoomRaccoon booking engine?

The voucher payment method will only be visible on your RoomRaccoon booking engine if you have activated their SimplyManageVouchers connection. This means that if you have not enabled this marketplace integration, the voucher payment option will not be available on your booking engine for guests.

Will I always have access to the voucher payment method option on the reservation card in the RoomRaccoon PMS?

Similar to your booking engine, the voucher payment method will only appear on the reservation card if you have activated their SimplyManageVouchers connection. This ensures that the feature is available only where it has been set up and is operational.

How to activate the SimplyManageVouchers connection

Go into your RoomRaccoon ‘Marketplace’ module. Search for SimplyManageVouchers and click “Activate”.

Is this connectivity available in all markets?

The SimplyManageVouchers connection is only currently available for hoteliers located in Ireland and the United Kingdom.

How can guests redeem a voucher code as a payment method in the booking engine?

Should a guest make a booking on your booking engine that requires a pre-payment deposit, guests can select 'Voucher' as a payment method during their checkout. If the voucher value is less than the total pre-payment required, guests will have to select an alternative payment method. If the value of the voucher is more than the pre-payment required, the pre-payment amount will be deducted from the total value of the voucher and the balance will be updated in the SimplyManageVouchers platform.
