RaccoonRev Plus is RoomRaccoon's AI-powered revenue co-pilot that helps hoteliers optimize their rates through intelligent suggestions or full automation. But not every rate or room should be influenced by AI—especially in cases like corporate-negotiated rates or STO contracts that require fixed pricing. That’s why we give you the flexibility to exclude specific room categories or rate plans from these updates.
This article walks you through how to manage exclusions in both Manual and Autopilot mode.
Why is this important?
Some rate types are sensitive to change. Examples include:
Corporate or negotiated agreements
Seasonal fixed-price deals
STO (Static Tour Operator) contracts
By excluding these from RaccoonRev Plus, you stay in control of your pricing commitments while still benefiting from dynamic pricing elsewhere.
How to exclude room categories
To exclude an entire room category from rate suggestions and updates:
Go to My Property in your RoomRaccoon account.
Navigate to the room category you would like to exclude.
Click “Manage details”.
Find the box “Exclude from RaccoonRev Plus updates”
Use the dropdown selector to mark the category as excluded from RaccoonRev Plus updates.
This ensures all rates under that category remain untouched by AI suggestions or autopilot updates.
How to exclude individual rate plans
If you’d like more granular control and only want to exclude specific rate plans within a room category:
Navigate to My Property.
Select the individual rate plan within a room category that you want to exclude.
Find the box “Exclude from RaccoonRev Plus updates”
Use the dropdown selector to mark the category as excluded from RaccoonRev Plus updates.
This works well if you still want the room category optimized, but need to isolate one or two rates from being impacted.
Does this work in autopilot mode?
Yes, exclusions apply in both Manual and Autopilot modes of RaccoonRev Plus. Once a category or rate is excluded, it will never be auto-updated, even if Autopilot is active.
So whether you’re reviewing rates manually or letting the system take the wheel, you’re still in control of what stays fixed.
Best Practice: Review your setup quarterly
Room setups and pricing strategies evolve—don't forget to review your exclusions periodically, especially after:
Adding new rate plans
Making seasonal contract changes
