When guests book through Google Hotel Ads, you pay 12% commission over your own booking engine's rates. Often, these are already somewhat lower and because of the commission, less profit remains for the hotelier.
If you work with voucher codes, you can set the prices of your own website as high as the prices of external portals. When guests book via GHA, they pay the same price, for example as on booking.com.
When guests book through your website, they receive the added value of a discount with their discount code.
Creating a permanent discount code
Click on the Booking Engine module
Scroll all the way down to the discount codes section
Give your discount a name (in this case it is DIRECTBOOKING)
Add a discount amount in percentage or currency. Choose the option for multiple entry so that guests can use this discount code as many times as they wish.
Add the expiration date.
Click Save.
Guests will then be able to select the discount code option at the top of your booking engine page
Good to know

You can implement a pop-up on your website where the code is visible and directly links to your RoomRaccoon booking engine. Add the discount code to your booking engine link and let people book through the link to directly get the discount. For more on how to create a discount pop-up on your website, click here
