Power POS Systems is a major supplier of point-of-sale systems to the general retail and hospitality market in South Africa, Australia and the United Kingdom. PowerPos is a developer of POS software and imports high-quality POS hardware.

How to connect to PowerPos

1. Request to connect to RoomRaccoon via PowerPos.

2. PowerPos will ask RoomRaccoon for the API key and Hotel ID.

3. Send us the product groups that you have in PowerPos so that we can add it to the system.

4. This is to ensure that every time an item is posted in RoomRaccoon it is posted to the right ledger e.g. coke will be linked to beverages.

5. Set-up is complete.

Bill subtotal with multiple currencies

It's illegal to accept foreign currency as a tender for a restaurant bill but you can easily inform your foreign guest just how much his meal cost in a currency he can relate to. A group of visitors are likely to come back if they feel that they received good value-for-money.

Up to 12 lines of foreign text

Unlike some overseas countries, we usually don't include a service charge on the bill (unless it's for a large table of 10 or more). Now you can tell your customer, in their home language, that a service charge is not included in the bill total.

Variable tip percentage with prompt

Servers in most Asian countries do not expect a tip (although China is now edging towards 3% as the norm) whereas in Europe and South Pacific 10% is the standard tip and in the USA you can usually expect to tip anything from 15% to 20% of the bill total.
