How to Periodically Close the Availability on a Room Category

On RoomRaccoon you can close the availability on a room type or category for a certain period of time. This could be due to a number of reasons such as maintenance, renovations and seasons (some rooms are only available in summer months).

How to Periodically Close the Availability on a Room Category

1. Click on the Channel Manager Tab on the left of the screen.

2. Navigate to the Rates and Availability Tab.

3. Click on manage rates (big pencil on the top left)

4. Select the categories you want to close the availability for. If you want to close for all the categories select "all categories".

5. Select the period you want to close the availability for on the "price change" field. You should select the percentage "%" and insert the value "-100" so the prices go to 0.

6. You can then "select all" in order to apply the previous action for all the rates for the selected categories or select certain specific rates that you want to close.

7. When this is done you can simply synchronise and you have achieved to close the availability.

Good to know

• There is an exception to this when using Airbnb, the platform won't recognise the change, therefore you need to close the availability directly on the Airbnb platform.
