Hibernation

Modified on Thu, 10 Nov 2022 at 10:39 AM

Hibernation is when your RoomRaccoon account is temporarily in hibernation or not active as a result of your property not being available for occupation. This means that over a 3 month period, RoomRaccoon will disable your booking engine, channel manager and limit functions on your PMS.

To request hibernation simply fill in the RoomRaccoon hibernation form here.

A confirmation will be sent to you before the start of the month of hibernation indicated in the form.

Good to know

  • During the hibernation period, you can continue to access RoomRaccoon but all connections will be disabled (Channel manager, RaccoonPay, Booking Engine and connections to external portals and software).

  • Hibernation is recommended during the periods in which the structure is under renovation and cannot receive future bookings;

  • Is it possible to hibernate the account for a period of less than 3 months? No, 3 months is the minimum period for hibernation.

  • Is the telephone and ticket assistance service active during the hibernations period? No, during the suspension period customer support is not included.

  • Will the Help Centre be accessible? Yes, the Help Centre will still be accessible and its contents will be at your disposal,

  • Will RoomRaccoon disable connections with OTAs? During the hibernation, the channel manager will not be active, therefore rates and availability will not be updated on the portals. The disconnection with the various portals in order to update rates and availability in the extranets is the responsibility of the customer.

When should I apply for hibernation? The hibernation starts on the first day of the month. Request the hibernation by the 15th of the previous month to start the hibernation on the 1st of the following month.
