RoomRaccoon’s integration with RemoteLock gives you seamless, automated guest access via self-expiring smart key codes. Whether you're running a receptionless property or simply want to reduce key handling, this integration makes your guest check-in smooth, secure, and contactless.
What Is RemoteLock?
RemoteLock connects your RoomRaccoon PMS to smart door locks, allowing you to:
Issue unique, self-expiring pin codes to each guest.
Manage access across multiple entry points (room door + gate, for example).
Control everything from one simple dashboard.
RemoteLock Offers Two Setup Types
Single Door Code: Each room has its own unique access code.
Door Group Code: One code opens multiple doors (e.g. room + security gate).
How to Activate the Integration
Ensure you have an active RemoteLock account.
Request the authorization link from RoomRaccoon Support.
RoomRaccoon will handle the door mapping for you.
Note: RemoteLock counts as one upgrade slot. Please check with your Customer Success Manager.
Benefits of RemoteLock
Automatically send key codes to guests—zero manual work.
Eliminate lost keys and rekeying costs.
Full visibility and control from a single dashboard.
Perfect for receptionless properties or late-night arrivals.
How It Works: Key Code Delivery Options
Option 1: Receptionless Automated Delivery
Key codes are automatically sent after a guest completes online check-in.
Setup
Ask RoomRaccoon to activate automated delivery.
Add the %roomkey% replace tag in your online check-in confirmation document.
Guest Experience
Code is sent immediately after online check-in.
If online check-in isn’t completed, you must mark the reservation as Checked-In and manually send a document containing the %roomkey% tag.
Important: The code won’t generate unless the guest is marked as Checked-In.
Option 2: Manual Delivery at Check-In
Key code is only created when you manually check the guest in.
Setup
Create a custom document with the %roomkey% tag.
Send it manually once the reservation status is Checked-In.
Guest Experience
Code appears only after check-in and document delivery.
Guests will not receive access credentials unless the reservation status is updated.
Reminder: If the guest is not checked-in, the code will not generate.
Good to Know
The %roomkey% tag dynamically inserts the guest's smart code into your document (e.g. check-in confirmation).
Once a reservation is marked as Checked-Out, the code is automatically disabled.
You can disable auto check-in behaviour on request.
