What Is Room Allotment?

Modified on Tue, 29 Aug, 2023 at 10:40 AM

Room Allotment is a feature designed to create group block reservations for specific rooms. This functionality caters to travel agents, corporate organisations, and individuals planning weddings or private celebrations. It lets you book multiple rooms within a designated period, streamlining the reservation process.

You manage Room Allotment, but rooms can be assigned to guests by you, the booker, or the guests themselves.

Why is this functionality important?

In the past, wedding planners or couples had to go through a tedious and error-prone process of manually sharing guest lists with hotels and coordinating room assignments. This time-consuming method often led to mistakes like double bookings.

To address this challenge, RoomRaccoon streamlines group bookings by allowing you to create "allotted bookings" for specific numbers of rooms, reducing the risk of errors and saving time for both bookers and guests. With this feature, you can enhance your service and ensure a smooth and stress-free event for all involved.

The Room Allotment feature also helps build strong relationships with travel agents managing multiple buyers by offering a hassle-free booking process, increasing the chances of them selecting your property for future bookings. Furthermore, you can effortlessly remove unused rooms from the allotment agreement, making them open for individual guests to reserve, boosting occupancy rates and revenue potential.

How is this useful for you?

Not only can you streamline the process of organising larger allotted bookings, but by moving guests and bookers through the RoomRaccoon booking engine, guests and bookers can also benefit from Upsell (if activated) and add-ons. This generates more revenue for you and creates a more personalised and luxurious stay for guests.

Note: Guests and bookers cannot use the custom booking engine link to pay for room allotment billing and payments.
