Store Credit Cards on the Guest Profile

Modified on Wed, 26 Nov at 7:38 PM

The Store Credit Cards on Guests or Rooms feature gives you more flexibility when handling payments in RoomRaccoon. You can now securely save and manage individual credit cards for each guest or room within a reservation — not just for the main booker.

This is ideal for multi-room or group bookings, where each guest may prefer to use their own card. Every card is stored and securely stored via your payment provider,  so you can charge the correct card quickly, safely, and accurately.

Important: To use this feature, Card Not Present (CNP) payments must be activated in your RaccoonPay or Peach Payments account. If CNP is not enabled, the stored card option will not appear. Please contact RoomRaccoon Support to enable CNP before using this feature.

Note: If Peach Payments is your payment provider, you should instead contact them directly.

Key Benefits

  • Multiple cards per reservation – save one card per guest or room.

  • Secure storage – all cards are encrypted and stored via your payment provider.

  • Faster payments – select any saved card directly from a dropdown list.

  • Clear identification – cards are labelled with cardholder name and room numbers.

  • Full transparency – every charge is automatically recorded in the reservation timeline.

How to Access it

  1. Go to the Reservations module.

  2. Open an existing reservation or; create a new one and save first.

  3. In the Guest Details section, you’ll see a Credit Card Information field for each guest.

How It Works

Important: To use this feature, Card Not Present (CNP) payments must be activated in your RaccoonPay or Peach Payments account. If CNP is not enabled, the stored card option will not appear. Please contact RoomRaccoon Support to enable CNP before using this feature.

Note: If Peach Payments is your payment provider, you should instead contact them directly.

1. Add a Credit Card for a Guest

  1. Open the reservation and scroll to the Credit Card Information section under the guest’s details.

  2. Enter the following card information:

    • Card Type

    • Cardholder Name

    • Card Number

    • Expiry Date (MM/YYYY)

    • CCV

  3. Click Save.

Once saved, the card will be securely stored through our payment provider. You can then use this card for Card Not Present payments directly from RoomRaccoon.

2. Charge a Stored Credit Card

When processing a Card Not Present payment:

  1. Select Stored Credit Card.

  2. Choose from the dropdown list of stored cards linked to the reservation.

  3. Each card shows the guest name and room number (e.g. John Smith | Room 108).

  4. Select the correct card and click Charge Credit Card

All transactions are automatically added to the Reservation Timeline, providing complete visibility of every payment action.

3. When a Card Is Already Linked

If a card is already saved for a guest, you’ll see this message: “Guest already has a credit card linked.” You can:

  • Unlink Credit Card to remove it, or

  • Continue using the stored card.

This helps prevent accidental overwriting of existing payment methods.

Security and Compliance

RoomRaccoon ensures that all saved credit cards are handled securely and meet strict compliance standards:

  • PCI-DSS compliant

  • Encrypted token-based storage

  • No sensitive card data is stored in RoomRaccoon itself

  • Only secure token references are kept, allowing you to process payments safely

Best Practices

  • Always confirm the guest’s email address before saving a card, as it links to the guest’s booker profile.

  • For group bookings, save one card per guest or room to simplify split billing.

  • When charging, double-check the guest name and room number in the dropdown.
